I feel a stirring in my spirit to write some declarations based on the powerful truths revealed by the birth of Jesus our Savior. Christmas isn’t just a historical event that we celebrate. It’s a chance to remind ourselves of the power and love that was birthed on that day and every day after. It’s a chance to stir up a new level of gratitude and commitment to a God that loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place. It’s a chance to remind ourselves that God has things He wants to birth in each one of us that are exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Lord, I declare that we would all have faith like Mary. That we would believe, without a doubt, that nothing is impossible with God.
I declare that we, like Mary, would know our true identity from our Heavenly Father. That no matter our age or our social status we would believe that we are a place where God can dwell and work wonders.
I declare that we will have ears to hear and a spirit to obey just as Joseph did. That we will not be led by public opinion but by the Word of the Lord.
I declare that we will have the desire to please God more than man. That even if God asks us to do something that may offend others we will obey.
I declare that we will be so surrendered to God’s divine timing that we will cheerfully endure any unexpected trip to see that the Word of the Lord comes to pass.
I declare a fulfillment of every single one of our prophecies, whether they were spoken a week ago, a year ago or 700 years ago.
I declare that we will be willing to birth whatever God desires no matter what cold, dark, and dirty stable He may call us to step into. That we will understand that the place God calls us to does not subtract from the significance of what He is calling us to do.
I declare that we will not let a lack of rooms at the inn keep us from completing the work that God has begun within us.
I declare that we will be as the wise men and listen to the voice of God over any other Herods in our lives.
I declare a fresh anointing over every single one of us to hear what God speaks, ponder His words in our heart, do what He asks and love like He loves.
